Sofia Orrbén is an Affiliated Researcher at the Department of Nordic Languages, Uppsala University, specializing in forensic linguistics and gender studies. Her work critically examines how legal discourse constructs victims and perpetrators in sexual crime judgments.

Research Focus: Combines language analysis with legal studies to deconstruct rape myths and power dynamics in Swedish judicial texts. Explores discursive boundaries between voluntariness and involuntaryness, victim accountability, and bodily representation in verdicts.
