Dr. Snorri Bjorn Rafnsson is an Associate Professor of Ageing and Dementia at the University of West London, leading the Geller Institute of Ageing and Memory (GIAM) within the School of Medicine and Biosciences. His research focuses on biopsychosocial determinants of health in older adults, chronic disease management, and dementia care quality. He collaborates extensively on grant applications and peer-reviewed publications, contributing to WHO guidelines on dementia risk reduction.
Dr. Rafnsson’s work emphasizes social determinants of cognitive health, including hearing loss impacts on memory and loneliness’s role in dementia incidence.
