Dr. Sneha Roy is a British Academy Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the School of Divinity, University of Edinburgh. Her research focuses on the intersection of religious movements, nationalism, and extremism, particularly exploring women's agency in these contexts. She previously worked as a Programme Officer at KAICIID International Dialogue Centre, addressing religious and political extremism globally. Dr. Roy holds a PhD from University of Wales Trinity Saint David (2021), an MA in Socio-Cultural Anthropology from Durham University (2016), and a B.Sc. in Anthropology from Delhi University (2014).
Her current research examines the relationship between Hindutva (saffron) and environmental (green) politics in India. She is passionate about global diplomacy and has collaborated with intergovernmental organizations like UNESCO, UNFPA, and UNDP across conflict zones such as Sri Lanka, Myanmar, and Sudan. Her work emphasizes peacebuilding, interreligious dialogue, and gendered narratives in conflict resolution.
