Siv Vea Grønneberg

Siv Vea Grønneberg is an Associate Professor at the Department of Welfare, Management and Organisation at Oslo Metropolitan University (HIOF). Her research focuses on communication, societal norms, and how individuals perceive mental health diagnoses like ADHD. She has extensive experience working with youth in educational settings facing behavioral challenges.

Her PhD project explored how young adults conceptualize living with ADHD through personal narratives, funded by the Dam Foundation and the Norwegian Council for Mental Health. Supervised by Professor Eivind Engebretsen and Associate Professor Stine Torp Løkkeberg, her work examines societal expectations and their impact on self-perception and future hope.

Key research areas include narrative analysis, discourse theory, and the intersection of mental health with societal structures. Her publications analyze ADHD narratives, subject positions, and mental wellbeing using qualitative methodologies.
