Siv Staubo

Siv Staubo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Finance at BI Norwegian Business School, concurrently serving as Dean of the Bachelor program from 2022–2026. She holds a PhD in Business Economics from BI (2014), a Master’s degree from BI (2003), and a Bachelor’s degree from Heriot-Watt University (1981).

Her research focuses on corporate governance, board dynamics, and the impact of mandatory gender quotas on organizational structure. Notable works include analyses of board independence under gender balance mandates and strategic shifts in corporate form to avoid regulatory constraints. She has published in journals like European Financial Management and Journal of Corporate Finance.

Staubo has extensive industry experience, including roles as a consultant in energy savings, oil exploration, and e-learning, alongside over a decade as a board member in listed Norwegian companies. She actively contributes to educational innovation, notably developing alternative teaching methods in finance.
