Siv Seland is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Health and Nursing Science, University of Agder. With a background as a trained nurse (2004) and midwife (2009), she holds a Master's degree in Public Health Science (2016). Her clinical experience spans Sørlandet Hospital in Kristiansand (2009-2021), and she has been employed at the University of Agder since August 2021. Her research interests focus on maternal health, public health, and clinical practices in nursing and midwifery.
Her work includes contributions to scientific publications such as the Norwegian Fit for Delivery trial, addressing topics like preeclampsia and gestational weight gain.
