Sita Ramamurti is the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Trinity Washington University in Washington, D.C., and holds the rank of Professor of Mathematics. She has over 25 years of experience in teaching collegiate mathematics, emphasizing active learning, technology integration, and quantitative reasoning. Her research focuses on mathematical modeling and dynamical systems, alongside interests in K-12 education policy reform.
Education: BSc and MSc in Mathematics (India) and PhD in Mathematics from George Washington University.
Research interests include advancing STEM education through interdisciplinary approaches and leveraging technology in teaching. She received the 2020 Teaching Science in College-Leo Schubert Award for her dedication to innovative mathematics instruction.
Leadership: As CAS Dean, she oversees Trinity’s women’s college and drives academic excellence. Her work bridges higher education and K-12 policy, advocating for equitable access to quality education.
