Professor Siobhán Garrigan is the Loyola Chair of Theology and Head of the School of Religions, Peace Studies and Theology at Trinity College Dublin. She joined Trinity in 2014, following academic roles at the University of Exeter, Yale University, Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology, and the Open University (Belfast). Her work integrates ritual studies, philosophical theology, and systematic theology to address social justice issues, focusing on ecumenism, poverty, gender, and racial discrimination.

Her research examines theology's role in social and political reconciliation, notably through her books The Real Peace Process: Worship, Politics and the End of Sectarianism and the forthcoming A Theology of Home in a Time of Homelessness. She also explores theology and the arts, including the sonic theologies of Irish traditional music.
Siobhán has contributed to publications such as Modern Theology and Studia Liturgica, with a focus on liturgical innovation, intersubjective experience, and theological ethics. She supervises research in critical theory, sacramental theology, and theology's intersection with gender, race, and class.
