Janowiak's research centers on Liturgical and Sacramental Theology with specialized focus on Roman Catholic and Ecumenical traditions. He examines the sacramentality of liturgical preaching, Trinitarian foundations of worship, communal devotion practices, and Vatican II's theological legacy. His scholarship bridges historical analysis of conciliar documents with contemporary liturgical spirituality.
Publications spanning 2000-2013 consistently explore Christ's presence in liturgical assemblies and sacramental dimensions of the Word. These works reveal interdisciplinary connections between homiletics, Trinitarian theology, and communal worship practices, emphasizing Vatican II's enduring influence on modern liturgical renewal.
