Dr Siobhan Moyes is an Associate Professor of Anatomy at Peninsula Medical School, University of Plymouth, where she also serves as Academic Lead for Anatomy and Histology. She is the Programme Co-lead for several Diagnostic Radiography programs, including the BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography, and module lead for RAD514. Since 2022, she has held a visiting professorship at the University of Pavia’s International Medical Programme, reflecting her international academic engagement.
Her research interests center on virtual and digital anatomy education, inclusive pedagogy, and gamification in medical learning. She emphasizes the integration of anatomy with biomedical and social sciences to foster holistic patient understanding. Her work promotes equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in anatomy education, both institutionally and through her role as Research Lead for EDI on the Anatomical Society’s committee.
Recent publications highlight trends in virtual learning environments, inclusive research practices, and game-based outreach in anatomy. These works reflect a strong commitment to innovative, accessible, and evidence-based medical education. Her research has international reach, particularly through the 'Inclusivity in anatomy' project spanning over 23 countries.

Dr Moyes has played a pivotal role in developing new academic programs and mentoring future healthcare professionals. She led the creation of the BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography program in response to national workforce needs, demonstrating leadership in curriculum design and educational innovation. She has secured research visibility through media features, including The Sunday Times Magazine and BBC Radio 4, and co-developed the educational game Wordotomy to improve accessibility of clinical language. She is actively involved in research grants and collaborative projects focused on inclusivity and digital education.

She leads the 'Inclusivity in anatomy' research project and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team of educators, clinicians, and researchers across institutions. She works closely with radiographers, academics, and administrators in developing patient-focused programs. Her affiliations include the Anatomical Society and the International Association of Medical Science Educators, and she contributes to EDI initiatives at both institutional and society levels.
