Siobhan Creanor is a Professor of Medical Statistics & Clinical Trials at the University of Exeter, affiliated with the Department of Health and Community Sciences. Since March 2020, she has served as Director of the UKCRC-registered Exeter Clinical Trials Unit (ExeCTU), previously leading the Peninsula Clinical Trials Unit (PenCTU) and Medical Statistics Group at the University of Plymouth. Her career began at the University of Glasgow Dental School, where she spent over eight years.

Her research spans clinical trials methodology, medical statistics, epidemiology, and applied statistics, applied to dentistry, neurosciences, public health, allied health, and emergency medicine. She advocates for multidisciplinary collaboration, transparency in trial reporting, and mentoring early-career statisticians.

Creanor has supervised numerous PhD students, including ongoing projects with Laura Casey (University of Plymouth, 2024) and Jade Chynoweth (University of Plymouth, part-time since 2019). Completed students include Benjamin Jones (University of Plymouth, 2022), Ailsa Nicol, Taher O Elgalaid, Nutayla Alharthy, and Vivian Binnie (all University of Glasgow, 2005–2006). She mentored over 80 postgraduate students at the University of Glasgow Dental School.
She chairs data monitoring committees for UK trials and serves on oversight committees as an independent expert. Professional roles include membership in the UKCRC CTU Network Executive Group, NIHR RIGHT Call 6 International Committee, and the UKRI Covid-19 rapid response College of Experts.
