Dr Sinduja Suresh is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), affiliated with the School of Mech., Medical & Process Engineering. Her research focuses on biomedical engineering, materials science, and additive manufacturing, particularly in the design and clinical translation of bioresorbable patient-specific bone scaffolds and orthotic devices. She holds a PhD and has received notable awards including the BridgeTech Industry Fellowship (2022) and UCL Dean's List (2019).
Her work bridges engineering and medicine, addressing challenges in bone regeneration, 3D printing optimization, and pediatric orthopedics. Recent projects include developing semi-automated tools for scoliosis cosmesis assessment and investigating slicing strategies for additive manufacturing. She has collaborated extensively with industry partners like Stryker and contributed to over 25 peer-reviewed publications since 2018. Current supervisions include advanced manufacturing protocols and additive manufacturing guidelines.
