Sinduja Subramanian is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Motor Neuron Disease Research within Macquarie Medical School, Macquarie University. Her work bridges vascular biology and neuroimmunology, focusing on immune dysregulation mechanisms in neurodegenerative diseases. She previously completed her PhD in Macquarie Neurosurgery (2015-2018) developing pro-thrombotic treatments for brain arteriovenous malformations.
- Educational Background: PhD in Neurosurgery (Macquarie University, 2018)
- Current Role: Research Fellow in Motor Neuron Disease Research
Her research explores:
- Vascular targeting agents for neurological conditions
- Immune-inflammatory processes in motor neuron disease
- Radiation-induced endothelial surface modifications
- Thrombotic treatment strategies for vascular malformations
Key publication trends include:
- Development of vascular targeting therapies through αB-crystallin and CD166 research
- Investigation of inflammatory mediators in neurodegenerative disease progression
- Application of pulsatile flow models to thrombus formation studies
- Integration of molecular imaging and proteomics techniques
