Sindoora Nalajala is a Graduate Research Assistant under Dr. Ye Chu at the Institute of Plant Breeding, Genetics and Genomics (IPBGG), part of the College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences. Their research focuses on plant genetics and genomics, particularly in improving mung bean varieties through studies on genetic divergence, quantitative traits, and statistical methodologies like principal component analysis and path analysis. They have contributed to peer-reviewed publications in agricultural science and presented work at academic conferences.
Research Interests: Genetic variability in crops, quantitative genetics, plant breeding techniques, and genomic analysis of mung bean (Vigna radiata). Their work bridges experimental approaches with computational methods to enhance crop yield and resilience.
Notable contributions include studies on genetic divergence in mung bean genotypes (2023) and participation in ISSAC 2021 proceedings, showcasing interdisciplinary engagement in symbolic computation.
