Sina Rauschenbach

Prof. Dr. Sina Rauschenbach holds the Chair of Religious Studies and Jewish Thought at the University of Potsdam since 2014. Their research focuses on Sephardic Studies, Early Modern Jewish History, and Jewish-Christian intellectual exchange. They coordinate the Spanish-German Academic Conversations since 2011 and direct the 'Sephardic Perspectives' project at the Selma Stern Center for Jewish Studies.

Scientific awards include prestigious fellowships at Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin (2008-09), Israel Institute for Advanced Studies (2022-23), and a DFG-funded Research Training Group 'minor cosmopolitanisms' (2016-23). Supervision includes numerous PhD candidates in Jewish and Religious Studies.
