Sinéad M. Ryan

Sinéad M. Ryan is the Chair of Theoretical High Energy Physics and Head of the School of Mathematics at Trinity College Dublin. Her academic work focuses on theoretical physics, particularly in high energy physics and computational methods.

• 2021: Spokesperson for the CERN Ireland Users Group, advocating Irish membership of CERN.
• 2020: Raymond and Beverly Sackler Distinguished Visiting Professor at IHES, France.
• 2017: August-Wilhelm Scheer Visiting Professor at the Institute for Advanced Study, TUM.
• 2016/17: Clare Hall Visiting Fellow and visiting scientist at DAMTP, Cambridge University.

She teaches courses such as Classical Field Theory, Techniques for Theoretical Physics, and Numerical Computing, and has contributed extensively to educational materials in computational physics and numerical methods.
