معرفی
Simonetta Abenda is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Bologna. Her research focuses on integrable Hamiltonian systems, including highly oscillatory Hamiltonian PDEs, asymptotic solutions, and applications of Riemann surfaces to shallow water waves. She explores connections between total positivity and spectral properties of integrable hierarchies, as well as algebraic combinatorics and graph theory in integrable systems.
- Research interests include direct/inverse spectral problems and finite-dimensional Hamiltonian systems.
She leads initiatives like the AlmaMathematica project to improve foundational mathematics education. Her academic discipline is classified under MATH-03/A Mathematical Analysis.
Recent activities include managing exam protocols for students in Mathematical Analysis courses and addressing credit recognition for partial exemptions.
