Simone Kreutz is a research associate at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin's Zentrum für transdisziplinäre Geschlechterstudien (ZtG) since 2021, pursuing her PhD at the Universität Kassel since 2023. Her dissertation focuses on collective responsibility for sexualized violence in hierarchical contexts. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Passau and Cardiff University, and an M.A. in Political Science from Freie Universität Berlin. Her research explores intersections of violence, power, and social transformation, with emphases on abolitionist justice, feminist epistemologies, and decolonial theories. She teaches feminist perspectives on justice, abolitionism, and sexualized violence at Humboldt Universität.
Key affiliations include the European Network on Gender and Violence (ENGV), Fachgesellschaft Geschlechterstudien (FG Gender), International Sociological Association (ISA), and ZtG. Her work critiques systemic approaches to sexualized violence and advocates for transformative justice frameworks over carceral systems. Recent lectures address social movements' roles in post-violence accountability and methodological solidarity in research.
