Simone Balossino is an Associate Professor of Medieval History at the University of Verona, Department of Cultures and Civilizations. Previously, he served as Maître de conférences (HC rank) at Avignon University (2008–2023) and held visiting roles at CNRS and the University of Bergamo. His research focuses on medieval institutional, political, and social history of Provence, urban history in Italy and Southern France, political-administrative structures of Southern France, and Franco-Imperial relations.
