Simona Polonyová is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Social Development and Labour within the Faculty of Economics and Finance at the Bratislava University of Economics and Business. Her research focuses on social policy, human development, inclusive education, and demographic studies. She has contributed to over a dozen peer-reviewed publications addressing issues such as social entrepreneurship education in Slovakia, demographic changes, and financial literacy among seniors. Polonyová actively participates in EU-funded projects like the SHARE survey and leads initiatives to enhance key competencies in digital education environments.
Her teaching responsibilities include courses on social policy, job interview simulations, and educational policy. She serves as the tutor and secretary for the Management of Public Policies study programs at both bachelor's and master's levels. Notable academic projects under her involvement include VEGA-funded research on social economy frameworks and demographic challenges in Slovakia.
Polonyová’s work bridges theoretical research and practical policy implementation, with a strong emphasis on societal inclusion and sustainable development.
