Dr. Simona Carbone is a Senior Research Fellow at Monash University's Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Drug Discovery Biology - MIPS. She co-directs the Integrated Neurogenic Mechanisms Laboratory and serves as an ARC DECRA Fellow (2015-2019) with teaching responsibilities as a MIPS Teaching Fellow (2018-present). Her work focuses on developing pharmacological interventions for gastrointestinal disorders through the modulation of enteric nervous system components.
