Simon Y. Kim

Simon Y. Kim is Associate Professor of Architecture at University of Pennsylvania's Weitzman School of Design, where he directs the Immersive Kinematics Lab and leads research in architectural applications of advanced technologies.

Research integrates:

• Kinematic systems in architectural design
• Urban-scale applications of immersive technologies
• Interdisciplinary art-architecture collaborations

Fellowships and residencies include Autodesk, RAIR Philadelphia, MIT, and Seoul Biennale. Research supported by NSF, Pew Center, and Canadian Heritage Foundation grants.
