Simon Shaw

Simon Shaw is a Researcher at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability, Technical University of Denmark. His work focuses on genome mining and bioinformatics tool development for microbial genetics.

• Research Interests: Computational analysis of gene clusters, antiSMASH database expansion, phylogenetic tree generation, and robotic automation in Streptomyces conjugation.
• Key Contributions: Co-author on 11 peer-reviewed publications including major updates to the antiSMASH database (versions 6.0–7.0), ActinoMation automation framework, and getphylo phylogenetic tool.
• Collaborative Activities: Organized the 2018 antiSMASH Hackathon and participated in the 4th antiSMASH Hackathon (2017).
