معرفی
Simon Schuster is a researcher and lecturer affiliated with the Department of Computer Science 4 (System Software) at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg. His work focuses on real-time systems, embedded systems, and timing analysis, with a particular emphasis on control-flow monitoring and soft-error mitigation techniques.
- Teaching: Led exercises for courses including "Verlässliche Echtzeitsysteme" (2017-2023) and "Konzepte von Betriebssystemkomponenten" (2021).
- Research: Specializes in worst-case execution time (WCET) analysis, system-aware timing verification, and reliability in real-time operating systems.
- Publications: Has authored key works since 2017, including collaborations on AORTA and KESO frameworks for system verification.
- Conference Involvement: Served as a secondary reviewer for RTAS, RTSS, EMSOFT, and other leading real-time systems conferences (2018-2022).
His research has been presented at international venues including RTAS, ECRTS-WiP, and EMSOFT. The latest work (2021) introduces context-aware WCET analysis methods with potential applications in embedded system verification.
Advising: Supervised final theses on RISC-V architecture extensions and trace-based timing analysis. Collaborates frequently with Wolfgang Schröder-Preikschat, Peter Ulbrich, and Peter Wägemann.
