Simon Raphael

Simon Raphael, PhD, is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. His research focuses on developing glycoconjugate vaccines against bacterial pathogens such as Salmonella enterica and Klebsiella pneumoniae. He leads a lab equipped for large-scale antigen production, purification, and characterization, employing techniques like bacterial fermentation, FPLC chromatography, and HPLC analysis.
