Professor Simon Popple is the Academic Lead for the Digital Creativity and Cultures Hub at the University of Leeds, holding the position of Professor of Digital Media Cultures. His expertise spans digital archives, immersive heritage, generative AI, and early cinema. He previously worked in the museum and archives sector, emphasizing practice-based research focused on collaborative storytelling and community engagement.
