Simon Mitrovic

Simon Mitrovic is a Professor of Freshwater Ecology at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), leading the Freshwater and Estuarine Research Group. His work focuses on applied research addressing freshwater ecology, cyanobacterial blooms, environmental flows, and ecotoxicology. He collaborates closely with government agencies to solve environmental challenges, ensuring student exposure to industry-relevant research. His editorial roles include positions at Marine and Freshwater Research and Frontiers in Microbiology, and he serves on committees such as the NSW State Algal Advisory Group.
