Professor Simon James is an academic at the University of Exeter, where he has been affiliated since 1976. His research focuses on behavioural economics, taxation, and tax compliance, with a particular emphasis on applying behavioural insights to improve tax administration. He has held visiting positions at seven international universities, including the Australian National University and the University of Canterbury (New Zealand).
