Simon Crabb is a Professor of Experimental Cancer Therapeutics at the University of Southampton's School of Cancer Sciences and an Honorary Consultant in Medical Oncology at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. His research focuses on novel cancer treatments, precision medicine for bladder and prostate cancers, therapy resistance mechanisms, and epigenetic therapeutics. He leads multiple clinical trials, including early-phase studies for urological malignancies and serves as Associate Clinical Director of the Southampton Clinical Trials Unit and Clinical Programme Lead for the Southampton Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre.

Key research interests include biomarker-driven trials, combination therapies, and improving outcomes for muscle-invasive bladder and prostate cancers. He leads over 20 active clinical trials and has authored numerous high-impact publications in Cancers, European Journal of Cancer, and British Journal of Cancer. His work spans translational endpoints, drug development, and patient-centered symptom management.
Current projects include the ELECTRA trial for intraoperative radiotherapy in rectal cancer, the GUSTO study for bladder cancer molecular subtyping, and the MANCAN2 trial evaluating CBT for prostate cancer-related symptoms.
