Simon Bovey is a Senior Lecturer in Film and Television at the University of Worcester's Theatre, Film & Media Production department. He holds a diverse professional background spanning animation, regional theatre, radio, and award-winning films. His creative work includes internationally recognized short and feature films, alongside significant contributions to BBC programming such as Doctors (BBC1), Radio 4 drama series, and science fiction for Radio 4 Extra. He currently has two feature film scripts under option and works as a script doctor for independent film companies in the US and UK.

His creative output spans over three decades, with works distributed globally and recognized in festivals like Hollywood DV Festival and Fantastic Fest. He actively contributes to academic education in narrative techniques, teaching modules on film production, game storytelling, and comic book adaptations.
