Simon Balloud is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Montreal within the Faculty of Arts and Science's Department of History. He serves as a co-researcher in the Three Centuries of Francophone Migrations in North America partnership (Chaire de recherche du Canada). His research focuses on transatlantic missionary and migratory movements between France and Canada during the long 19th century, particularly examining French clergy migration, religious exile experiences, and francophone community development through ethnographic knowledge and personal narratives.
