Silke Forbes is a Professor of Economics at Tufts University, part of the School of Arts and Sciences. She holds a PhD from MIT and an MA from the University of Mannheim. Her research focuses on Industrial Organization, Antitrust, and Organizational Economics, with notable contributions to airline industry dynamics and market competition. Previously, she taught at the University of California, San Diego and Case Western Reserve University.
Her research has been supported by grants from the National Science Foundation and fellowships from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. Key awards include the Mather Spotlight Prize for Women's Scholarship.
