Dr. Sihong He is a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Connecticut, an M.S. in Statistics from UC Irvine, and a B.S. in Financial Mathematics from Southern University of Science and Technology. Her interdisciplinary research focuses on developing efficient, resilient, and safe frameworks for General Embodied AI, with applications in reinforcement learning, cyber-physical systems, and robotics.
Her research integrates:
- Robust multi-agent reinforcement learning for interconnected systems
- Data-driven optimization for mobile cyber-physical systems
- Security and safety of autonomous systems
Dr. He's publications demonstrate a consistent focus on solving real-world challenges in autonomous systems through innovative machine learning approaches. Recent work emphasizes robustness under uncertainty, federated learning across environments, and adaptive trajectory prediction.
Honors include:
- NSF CPS Rising Star Award (2024)
- Best Paper Award at IJCAI AI4TS Workshop (2024)
- Rising Star in AI from KAUST (2024)
- Multiple fellowships including Taylor L. Booth Graduate Fellowship
She leads the Center for Integrative Math-Bio and Experimental Research (CIMBEX) and actively recruits Ph.D. students for projects funded by NSF grants DMS-2212938, DMS-2309491, and NIH awards R21CA242933.
