معرفی
Signe Klemm is a Research Fellow at the Section for Geogenetics within the Globe Institute, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen. Her role focuses on advanced research in archaeogenetics and ancient DNA analysis.
Her research interests include archaeogenetics, population genetics, human evolution, bioarchaeology, anthropology, and ancient DNA methodologies. She investigates historical population dynamics through genomic analysis, particularly examining indigenous communities and prehistoric migration patterns across the Pacific region.
Her 2024 Nature publication on Ancient Rapanui genomes represents a significant contribution to population genomics, revealing evidence of pre-European transoceanic contact between Polynesia and the Americas. This work demonstrates interdisciplinary integration of genetics, anthropology, and archaeology to address fundamental questions about human resilience and historical interactions.
