Sigal Oren is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. She is currently on academic leave at Stanford University for the 2022-2024 academic years. Previously, she held a postdoctoral position at the Hebrew University and Microsoft Research Herzliya under Noam Nisan, following her PhD from Cornell University advised by Jon Kleinberg. Her research focuses on Algorithmic Game Theory, integrating tools from theoretical computer science, game theory, and behavioral economics to study social phenomena and human decision-making.

Research Interests: Explores interdisciplinary approaches at the intersection of computer science and economics. Key areas include mechanism design, behavioral algorithmics, and computational social choice. Her work bridges theoretical foundations with real-world applications in decision-making models and societal systems.

Advising & Collaboration: Supervised multiple Master’s students including Coral Haggiag, Lee-or Alon (joint with Orna Agmon Ben-Yehuda), and Nadav Sklar. Co-organizes the SIGecom Winter Meeting 2024. Active in academic outreach and conference organization.
