Siddhartha Das

Dr. Siddhartha Das is a Professor of Biological Sciences at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), specializing in lipid metabolism and signaling pathways in parasitic protozoa like Giardia lamblia. His research focuses on understanding mechanisms of Giardia pathogenesis, anti-parasitic drug development, and the role of arachidonic acid in breast/colon cancer metastasis. He directs the Immunology and Infectious Disease Cluster at UTEP’s Border Biomedical Research Center (BBRC), supported by NIH grants.
