Sida Liu

Dr. Sida Liu is a researcher at Wageningen University and Research, specializing in hydrology and groundwater modeling. She holds a PhD from IHE Delft Institute for Water Education and is affiliated with the Earth Systems and Global Change subdivision. Her work focuses on simulating groundwater flow, solute/heat transport, and the impact of climate change on water systems. Currently, she leads the GROW project addressing groundwater sustainability and crop production in collaboration with WUR.

Educational background: BSc in Groundwater Science (China University of Geoscience, 2014), MSc with distinction in Hydrology (IHE Delft, 2016), and PhD in Hydrogeological Modeling (IHE Delft, 2021). Her expertise spans numerical modeling techniques, river-groundwater interactions, and sustainable groundwater management strategies.
