Sicco van der Sluis

Sicco van der Sluis is a part-time Lecturer at Windesheim University of Applied Sciences since 2015, teaching the module "Leadership in pedagogical change processes" in the Master LOSP program. He concurrently operates as a strategic consultant for medium and large organizations since 2001, specializing in sustainable employability and organizational development through board-level coaching and change process implementation.

His research centers on sustainable employability frameworks, organizational change dynamics, and leadership in pedagogical contexts. He co-authored the Dutch practice guideline NEN 6070 on steering sustainable employability and developed the Sustainable employability knowledge file for professional knowledge dissemination. Currently pursuing a PhD since 2021, he investigates the Pygmalion effect in workplace reintegration processes during long-term absenteeism, examining how implicit managerial conceptions influence outcomes.

Van der Sluis' consulting methodology integrates behavioral analysis of management practices with systemic organizational design, utilizing intervision groups, executive coaching, appreciative inquiry, and evidence-based research to enhance organizational resilience and employee sustainability. His dual academic-practitioner approach bridges theoretical frameworks with real-world implementation challenges in human resource ecosystems.
