معرفی
Sibylle Schroll is a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Cologne's Mathematical Institute and holds an adjunct professorship at NTNU's Department of Mathematical Sciences. Her research focuses on representation theory of algebras, cohomology theories, homological algebra, and their connections to symplectic geometry and cluster algebras. She leads the Algebra Group at Cologne and contributes to the SFB/TRR 191 'Symplectic Structures' project, particularly in Project C7 'Algebras from Fukaya and Quantum Field Theories'.
- Education: Extensive academic background inferred through her Marie Curie Fellowship and leadership in advanced mathematical fields.
Her research interests emphasize geometric and algebraic stability conditions, derived categories, and τ-tilting theory. She organizes major conferences like ARTA X (2025) and co-edits the Annals of Representation Theory. Schroll has supervised numerous PhD students and postdocs, including notable figures like Hipolito Treffinger and Aran Tattar. Her editorial roles include managing editor of the Bulletin of the London Mathematical Society and editor-in-chief of ART.
Key grants include DFG funding for Project C7 and Royal Society fellowships. She actively promotes women in STEM through the IDUN mentoring program at NTNU.
Her seminars include the Cologne Algebra Seminar and LAGOON, fostering collaboration in representation theory. Current research explores Fukaya categories, exceptional sequences, and algebraic structures tied to geometric surfaces.
