Sibylle Mohr is a Research Fellow in Infectious Disease Ecology at the University of Glasgow, affiliated with the Institute of Biodiversity, Animal Health and Comparative Medicine. She works within EPIC (the Scottish Government’s Centre for Expertise in Animal Disease Outbreaks), providing analytical support for emergency disease outbreaks. Her research integrates computational linguistics, cognitive psychology, and network dynamics to study infectious disease spread through livestock movements and social networks.
Her work focuses on epidemiological modeling, data visualization, and livestock surveillance systems. Key contributions include analyzing spatial and temporal patterns of sheep scab in Scotland and developing FAIR data pipelines for traceable scientific workflows.
- Grants: Lead on the EPIC Centre (2022–2025) and movenet toolkit adaptation (2024).
- Publications: Over 15 peer-reviewed articles, including work on pandemic data visualization and livestock disease control strategies.
Her expertise bridges computational methods, veterinary science, and public health, with emphasis on policy-informed solutions for emerging diseases.
