Shuyang Peng is an Associate Professor and Interim Program Director for the Master of Public Administration at the University of Colorado Denver School of Public Affairs. She holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration from Rutgers University and is a fellow at Arizona State University's Center for Organizational Research and Design.
Peng's research examines public and nonprofit management with emphasis on employee attitudes and behaviors, organizational resources and performance, social enterprise models, and public-nonprofit collaboration dynamics. Her work investigates how organizations can effectively lead employees, manage resources, and collaborate to deliver quality public services.
Her publications analyze diverse aspects of organizational management including nonprofit reputation effects on charitable giving, institutional intermediation in social enterprises, disaster response networks during COVID-19, and conflict management strategies in municipal governance. Peng's research demonstrates consistent focus on organizational effectiveness within institutional constraints.
