Shuting Chen is a PhD candidate in Psychology at the University of Edinburgh's School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences. She serves as an undergraduate Tutor for courses in Second Language Acquisition and the Psychology of Conversation. Her research focuses on how experimental collaboration setups influence language production and bilingualism, particularly examining interference effects in joint tasks. She is co-organizer of the Psycholinguistics Coffee series and part of the organizing committee for AMLaP2024. She also managed the 'Our Society' stream for Pint of Science 2025.

Her work explores cognitive mechanisms behind collaborative language use, with recent findings presented at AMLaP 2024 (7% acceptance rate). Research materials available via OSF.
