Shulin Deng is a Teaching Fellow in the Department of Banking and Finance at King's Business School, King's College London, a position she has held since joining in 2021. Previously, she served as a teaching-intensive lecturer in Economics at the University of Reading.
Her academic background includes:
- PhD in Economics from the University of Birmingham
- MSc in Money, Banking and Finance from the University of Birmingham
Her research centers on Household Finance and Labour Economics, applying econometric analysis to explore connections between finance and public retirement policy, housing markets, and health economics within International Economics. This interdisciplinary work bridges empirical methods with real-world socio-economic policy challenges.

Dr. Deng has extensive experience teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate Economics and Finance modules.
