معرفی
Dr. Shujiro Komiya serves as a Project Leader and Research Fellow within the Department of Biogeochemical Processes at the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry in Jena, Germany. His primary research engagement centers on the Amazon Tall Tower Observatory (ATTO), a collaborative initiative investigating energy, matter, and momentum exchanges between the Amazon rainforest and atmosphere.
His research spans critical environmental disciplines:
- Biogeochemistry
- Atmospheric Science
- Ecosystem Ecology
- Carbon Cycle Dynamics
- Tropical Forest Ecology
- Climate-Biosphere Interactions
Dr. Komiya's work involves long-term monitoring of greenhouse gases, aerosols, and meteorological parameters at the 325-meter ATTO tower site, contributing to understanding the Amazon's role in global climate systems and ecosystem responses to environmental change.
He operates within the ATTO research consortium, which conducts vertical profile measurements of atmospheric composition across the Amazon basin.
