معرفی
Antje Uhde is a Researcher and PhD student at the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry (MPI-BGC) and Friedrich Schiller University Jena. Her work focuses on tropical wetlands' role in global biogeochemical cycles, particularly methane emissions from Amazon peatlands. Using remote sensing, she quantifies emission characteristics of measurement sites.
Education includes an M.Sc. in Geoinformatics (FSU Jena, 2019-2021), a B.Eng. in Geoinformatics (University of Applied Sciences Dresden, 2014-2019), and internships at eLEAF B.V. (Netherlands) and the German Aerospace Center (DLR). She also completed a visiting scholarship at the University of the West Indies, Trinidad.
Her research interests emphasize integrating Earth observation data with biogeochemical modeling to address climate change impacts in tropical ecosystems. She contributes to the Amazon Tall Tower Observatory (ATTO) project and the International Max Planck Research School for Global Biogeochemical Cycles (IMPRS-gBGC).
Professional experience includes remote sensing applications for environmental monitoring and collaboration within interdisciplinary teams. Current affiliations include the Department of Biogeochemical Processes at MPI-BGC, located on the Beutenberg Campus in Jena.
