Shubhi Sachdeva

Shubhi Sachdeva is a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Virginia's School of Education and Human Development, affiliated with the Center for Advanced Study of Teaching and Learning. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin and has professional experience in early childhood education across India, Taiwan, and the United States.

Her research examines how power dynamics, oppression, and resistance shape educational experiences for young children and families. She specializes in video-cued multivocal multi-sited ethnography to analyze how children's bodies interact with broader educational discourses. Key focus areas include:
