Shu-chin Wu is an Associate Professor of History at Agnes Scott College. She holds a BA from Fu Jen Catholic University, and both an MA and PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her research focuses on Tibetan cinema, Tibetan Buddhism's concept of dignity, and critical thinking through contemplative methods. She teaches courses on Asian history, including Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese studies, as well as World War II in Asia through film. Professor Wu co-designed the Global Study course 'Contemplative Japan,' combining academic study with a two-week Japan trip.
