Shruti Athavale

Shruti Athavale is a Researcher and Ph.D. candidate at the Chair of Teaching and Learning with Digital Media, Technical University of Munich (TUM), affiliated with the TUM School of Social Sciences and Technology. She holds a Master's degree in Psychology (Learning Sciences) from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and a Master's in Clinical Psychology from Savitribai Phule Pune University, India.

Research Interests include:

• Self-regulated learning and metacognition
• AI-driven educational technologies (adaptive systems, VR/AR)
• Teacher and student emotions in digital learning environments
• Game-based learning and digital trace data analysis

Scientific Contributions: Key publications on AI-integrated learning analytics and self-regulated learning. Active participant in the CELLA project (2021-2026), funded by the Jacobs Foundation, focusing on AI-driven learning technologies for children's wellbeing.

Recognition: Full scholarship from the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (2020-2022) for her master's studies in Germany.
