Shrikant Mane

Shrikant Mane is a Professor of Genetics at Yale University, affiliated with the Yale School of Medicine. He holds dual directorships at the Yale Center for Genome Analysis (YCGA) Shared Resource and the Keck Biotechnology Resource Laboratory. His research focuses on genomic and proteomic technologies, including microarray and high-throughput DNA sequencing. Mane has over 25 years of academic and industry experience, with significant NIH funding and 125+ publications. He leads the Yale Center for Mendelian Genomics and pursues neuroscience research alongside his lab leadership roles.

Education: PhD in Cancer Biology from the University of Bombay (1985), Postdoctoral training at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His labs have provided genomic services to over 350 principal investigators globally. Collaborations include work with renowned researchers like Richard Lifton and Murat Günel.

Research Interests: Genomic technologies, genetic basis of kidney diseases, neurodevelopmental disorders, and translational genomics. His work bridges clinical and basic science, with emphasis on applying genomic analyses to uncover disease mechanisms.
