Shraddha Swaroop is an Adjunct Professor at California State University, Long Beach's College of Liberal Arts, affiliated with the Journalism & Public Relations department since 2017. Her work bridges design and human factors research in aviation and technology.

Her research focuses on workload, performance, and trust in automation within aviation, particularly air traffic management of drones using NASA-developed interfaces. She explores human-computer interaction, UX design, and graphical interface optimization.
Scientific honors include awards from NASA-Langley, Boeing, the Society of News Design (notably the Pulitzer Prize-equivalent design award), the American Psychological Association, and Virginia Press Association. She also holds scholarships from the March of DIMES and others.
As a professional UX designer, she leads a company serving clients like Apple, Dell Computers, and Kelley Blue Book. Her career spans design and editorial roles at major publications including Variety, Los Angeles Times, and San Jose Mercury News, where she contributed to award-winning design teams.
